The following is a list of sub-glitches of the Swordless Link bug in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

The "core" sub-glitches[]

Use items while on Epona[]

While riding Epona, Swordless Link can use almost any C-item.

Derivative sub-glitches[]

Ghost Link[]

Using the Ocarina or a Deku Nut while on Epona will cause Swordless Link to dismount. He will suddenly be able to move through all actors -- that is, anything that isn't static terrain. This includes enemies, trees, signposts, and Epona. As Link moves, Epona will mimic his movements (but faster, causing her to desynchronize). If Link runs off of a ledge, he will gently float down rather than jumping or falling.[verification needed] Pressing A will cause Link to teleport to and hop onto Epona.

This can be used to move through solid objects, play the Ocarina when it would otherwise be prohibited, and teleport around loading points.

Hookshot flying[]

If you use the Hookshot or Longshot while on Epona and latch onto something, Link will remain sitting on Epona. Dismounting Epona by pressing A will cause Link to start levitating through the air. The player can control Link's lateral movements with relative ease, and the Hookshot's chains will stretch without any discernible limit. Getting hit by an enemy will cause Link to fall. If Link touches the object that he is stuck to, he will moonjump.

Care should be taken to avoid Z-targeting, as doing so will make it impossible to rotate the camera.
